White Wedding Dress 2011

White Wedding Dress 2011Millions of girls and women, the perfect marriage between a vision of the perfect white wedding dress in their minds dream. But why white? Where did this tradition come from?

In fact, in the grand scheme of things, the tradition is not so old. The white wedding dress is now deeply rooted tradition, and for many is worn to be called the virtue of respecting tradition. Millions think – in fact begin billions – of women all over the world, about the perfect white wedding gown before they have even found the perfect partner.

Britain is a place full of legends and traditions, so it is no wonder that the tradition of the white wedding dress of the English monarchy was started. It was the marriage of Queen Victoria that produces the importance and popularity of white wedding dresses as we know it today.

Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxony in 1840, and was wearing what would have been when an extravagant white dress. Of course this is not the tradition begins immediately, but many women saw this as a statement of class and style, and should be copied from the queen to marry in white.

The white wedding dress in those days had nothing to do with virtuous – it was all about wealth. Getting married in a white, extravagant gown a sign that a dress that you never wear in a position, again because of the style and color (white was not easy in those days, when they buy in now clean! strips would).

Of course, women are still married in different colors and styles of dress – it was only the vain and the rich, who insisted on white to follow in the footsteps of the wealthy Monarch. But during Edwardian times, the white wedding dress again rose to new heights of popularity, such as Coco Chanel unveiled its new knee-length white wedding dress, complete with extravagant train.

However, with the Depression, World War I and the approach of World War II, many women continue to make do with what kind of clothes they could afford, and it went for decades. Some women would marry in a short white informal wedding dress, which are then painted, and as an everyday clothes. Again it was only the rich could afford, who really is to spend a great dress.

But starting from the 1950s, as the world watched Hollywood stars, royalty and members of high society in stunning white gowns Wed get the tradition of white became signed and sealed.
